All of our wireless vehicle amplifiers will retransmit a cellular signal inside your vehicle approximately 3 to 5 feet from the inside antenna. However, amplifiers will differ in how far away from a cellular tower they can operate. Units with higher wattage can receive and transmit a longer distance than than units with lower wattage (3 watts is the maximum allowed by the FCC on 800MHz and 2 watts if the maximum for 1900MHz). For comparison, most cell phones have a maximum wattage of about 0.6 watt.
